Planting and care

Set the grapevine on a solid support (arbour, pergola or sturdy stake) facing due south. Plant in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter, in fall or spring. The space should allow good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.

Water regularly for the first two years after planting. Once established, the vine tolerates drought well. Prune in late winter to encourage branching and fruiting. Few disease treatments are needed with this cultivar, which has excellent hardiness and good disease resistance.
