Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in a sunny spot, in rich, well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and amend the soil with compost. The plant should be set at the same depth as in its container.

Water regularly the first year to encourage rooting. Once established, the 'Greenspire' linden tolerates drought well. Little care is needed; prune lightly to keep a pyramidal shape. Avoid severe pruning, which weakens the tree.
