Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a site in full sun for denser foliage. Space plants at least 2 m apart if planting in a row.

Water regularly at planting and during the first growing season. Once established, cedar tolerates drought well, but soil kept moderately moist promotes its vigour. Spread mulch at the base to hold in moisture and limit temperature swings.
