Planting and care

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Allow 2.5 to 3 m of spacing. Avoid heavy, compacted or soggy soils. Water regularly for the first two years to establish the root system well.

Once established, this lilac needs little care. Keep up moderate watering during long droughts. Prune lightly right after flowering to remove spent flowers and keep a balanced silhouette. Avoid severe pruning, which compromises the next year's flowering.
