Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in a sunny spot, in well-drained soil, slightly alkaline if possible. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, set the plant at the same level as in its container and firm the soil well. Water generously at planting.

During the first season, keep the soil evenly moist without standing water. Once established, the 'Miss Kim' lilac tolerates relative drought well and needs little care. After flowering, remove spent flowers to encourage better branching. A light pruning every two years is enough to keep a compact shape.
