Planting and care

Plant in rich, well-drained, slightly moist soil, in full sun or part shade. Space 1 m apart. Plant in fall or spring; dig a hole slightly deeper than the root ball and work in compost. Firm lightly and water generously.

Water regularly the first season to encourage rooting. Once established, it tolerates brief droughts. Prune lightly after flowering to keep a compact, bushy habit. Adding compost or mulch in spring promotes vigour.
