Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Choose a sunny spot, which encourages abundant flowering. Spirea tolerates poor soils well and establishes quickly.

Water regularly after planting until it is fully established (first season). Once settled, it tolerates drought well. Prune lightly after flowering to keep a compact shape. No disease or pest treatment is generally needed.
