Planting and care

Plant in full sun in well-drained or moderately moist soil. Leave 80 to 100 cm between plants so the natural rounded shape can develop. Adding compost at planting helps it establish.

Water regularly during the first season to keep the soil moist but not saturated. After establishment, the plant tolerates dry spells. A light pruning in late winter or after flowering keeps a compact, bushy shape. Little care is needed beyond that.
