Planting and care

Plant in very well-drained soil, ideally sandy or rocky. Sedum album tolerates poor and even limy soils. In wet regions, add gravel or pumice to prevent root rot. Set in full sun for the best foliage colour.

Watering is only needed at planting until it is established (2 to 3 weeks). Once rooted, this succulent perennial is extremely drought tolerant and needs no water under normal conditions. No pruning or fertilizing is needed.
