Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil, in full sun for the best flowering. Spacing should be about 45 cm between plants. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, work in compost and firm well at planting time.

Water regularly during the first season to make sure the roots establish. Once established, this perennial tolerates drought well. Divide the clumps every three years in spring to keep them vigorous and rejuvenate the plants. Cut back to 10 cm above the ground in fall or spring.
