Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Choose a spot in full sun for the best fruiting. Space plants 1.2 to 1.5 m apart. Planting in rows is recommended to make harvesting easier.

Water regularly during the first growing season to make sure it takes well. After that, keep the soil moderately moist without waterlogging. Spread organic mulch around the plants. Prune once a year in late winter or early spring, removing canes more than two years old and thinning out weak canes.
