Pinus sylvestris 'Poodle Pine'

Plant the 'Poodle Pine' Scots pine in fall or spring in a sunny spot. Allow at least 2 to 2.5 m of spacing for its development. The soil should be well drained; clay or compacted soils should be loosened before planting. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball, set the plant level and firm the soil well.

Water regularly the first year after planting to make sure the roots establish, especially during dry spells. Once established, this cultivar is very drought tolerant and needs little care. No pruning is needed; it naturally keeps its compact, dense habit. Avoid sites exposed to strong winds and ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.
