Planting and care

Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic soil, in a sunny spot. Dig a hole twice the diameter of the root ball, set the conifer at the same level as in its container and firm the soil well. Mulch the base to hold in moisture.

Water regularly during the first growing season to make sure the roots take well. Once established, the weeping white spruce tolerates drought well and needs practically no care. Avoid waterlogged soils, which can cause root rot.
