Planting and care

Plant in fall or spring in an open spot in full sun. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball and amend the soil with compost or growing mix if needed. Firm well and water thoroughly after planting.

For the first two years, keep the soil cool but well drained, especially during dry spells. Once established, this spruce tolerates drought well. No pruning is needed; its natural weeping growth should be preserved.
