Planting and care

Set in full sun or light part shade, in rich, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Norway spruce tolerates cool and even limy soils well in northern regions. Plant in fall or spring, allowing spacing of at least 2 to 3 m.

Regular watering is crucial while it establishes (first and second seasons). After that, keep the soil cool without waterlogging. No pruning is needed; this cultivar naturally keeps its distinctive shape. Protect young plants from drying winds and strong summer heat in warm regions.
