Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil, in full sun to show off the golden colour of the foliage. Adding organic matter at planting helps it establish. No lime amendment is needed.

Water regularly the first season to keep the soil moist without excess. Once established, this shrub tolerates drought well. A light pruning after flowering is enough to keep the shape; it also handles harder pruning well if needed. No routine disease or pest treatment is required.
