Planting and care

Plant in rich, well-drained soil, in a sunny spot. Adding organic matter at planting helps it establish. Space plants 45 to 50 cm apart to ensure good air circulation and reduce the risk of fungal diseases.

Water regularly during growth and flowering, especially during long droughts. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. At the end of the season, cut the stems back to the ground after the first frosts. Divide the clumps every 3 to 4 years in spring to keep them vigorous and dense.
