Planting and care

Plant in full sun to bring out the golden colour of the foliage. Mock orange copes with most well-drained soils, slightly acidic to neutral. Dig a planting hole slightly wider than the root ball, work in organic matter and firm well when planting.

Water regularly for the first three weeks after planting to make sure the roots establish well. Once established, mock orange will tolerate some drought. Prune lightly after flowering to keep a compact shape and encourage branching. No fertilizer is needed under normal conditions.
