Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil, in full sun, ideally in spring or fall. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball, set the plant in place without sinking it deep, then backfill and firm well. Adding planting mix can improve establishment.

Water regularly the first season to keep the soil cool (not soggy). Once established, the 'Skyrocket' juniper tolerates drought very well and needs practically no care. Avoid wet, poorly drained spots, which encourage rot.
