Planting and care

Plant the juniper in well-drained soil, in full sun for the best colour. Avoid heavily shaded areas or compacted soils. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, without burying the root collar. A light mulch helps moderate soil temperature during the first year.

Regular but moderate watering is needed the first season to make sure it roots. Once established, this cultivar is very drought tolerant and needs practically no watering. No pruning is required; the natural spreading, compact habit holds on its own.
