Planting and care

Plant in full sun or part shade, in rich, well-drained soil. The panicle hydrangea prefers a sunny spot for abundant flowering and intense colours. Enrich the soil with organic matter at planting time and mound the soil slightly.

Water regularly for the first two years to establish deep roots. Once well settled, this tolerant cultivar handles dry spells well. Spring pruning (March–April) encourages denser branching and better flowering. Remove spent flowers to extend the ornamental period.
