Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil rich in organic matter, enriched with compost at planting. Place in full sun for abundant flowering and the best development. Allow 1.2 to 1.5 m of spacing depending on the desired habit.

Water regularly after planting during the first growing season. Since the panicle hydrangea tolerates drought well once established, watering can be spaced out afterwards. A light pruning in spring (before the leaves come out) is enough to keep a nice shape. No disease or pest treatment is needed under normal conditions.
