Planting and care

Plant in rich, well-drained soil, enriched with compost at planting. Choose a sunny spot (at least 6 hours) for generous flowering. Watering should be regular during the first growing season.

Water regularly without letting the soil become waterlogged. Once established, the panicle hydrangea is drought tolerant. Prune lightly in spring to keep the compact shape. No fertilizer is needed if the soil is rich enough.
