Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space plants 45 to 60 cm apart. Daylily tolerates a wide range of soils. Water regularly the first year to help the roots establish.

Once established, this perennial is very self-sufficient. Periodic summer watering supports a long bloom. Trim off the dried foliage in late winter. No disease or pest treatment is needed under normal conditions.
