Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil, in full sun. Blanket flower dislikes winter moisture and heavy soils. Space plants 30 to 40 cm apart. No rich organic matter is needed; poor to moderately fertile soil is perfect.

Watering while it establishes should be moderate and spaced out. Once established, this perennial is very drought tolerant and needs little care. Remove spent flowers regularly to extend the bloom. No fertilizing is required.
