Planting and care

Plant in well-drained soil, in part shade to partial shade to preserve the leaf variegation. Intense full sun can scorch the foliage. Space plants 80 cm to 1 m apart depending on the intended use. Water well at planting to make sure it takes well.

Keep the soil evenly moist without waterlogging during the first growing season. After that, it tolerates relative drought. Prune lightly in spring to keep a compact, bushy shape. Little care is needed after the initial establishment.
