Planting and care

Plant in rich, well-drained soil enriched with compost. Choose a spot in full sun for generous flowering. Spacing between plants should be about 25 cm. Mulch lightly around the base to hold in moisture.

Water regularly without saturating the soil, especially while it establishes and during hot spells. Let the surface dry slightly between waterings. Pinch young plants early in their growth to encourage a bushier habit and more abundant flowering. Remove spent flowers regularly to extend the bloom until frost.
