Planting and care

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, slightly alkaline or neutral. China pink prefers airy spots where moisture evaporates quickly, to minimize the risk of rot. Space plants about 25 cm apart.

Water moderately at the base from planting onward to establish the root system. Once rooted, keep watering measured, avoiding excess moisture on the foliage and in the heart of the plant. A light mulch around the base helps retain water without risk of rot. Remove spent flowers regularly to extend the bloom.
