Planting and care

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, ideally slightly limy. Smoke bush tolerates poor, rocky soils. Space 2 to 2.5 m apart to allow the silhouette to develop fully.

Water regularly the first season to build a good root system. Once settled, this shrub shows very good drought tolerance and needs little care. Avoid excess moisture, which can compromise its vigour.
