Planting and care

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil, preferably slightly acidic. Space at least 60 cm apart. Make sure drainage is good, especially when planting in heavy ground. Amend with compost or peat if needed.

Regular watering is needed during the first growing season, especially during long droughts. Once established, this variety tolerates drought well, so watering can be reduced considerably. Avoid soggy soils, which encourage root rot.
