Planting and care

Plant the white fir in a wide-open spot in full sun, in deep, well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and set the tree in it without burying the root collar. Leave open space around it for good air circulation.

Water regularly during the first year, especially in dry spells, to help the roots establish. After that, the white fir handles drought well. No pruning is needed; let it develop naturally, respecting its characteristic conical shape.
